Many gamers love them (me too), so I took the freedom to add them to the according timeline pages. Hope you don't mind. Doesn't tell too much, but makes people curious about the content.
The (series) page contains links to all the books in neat order, and should be both the hub page and the redirect page when looking up Creatures of the Night. Likewise, the current Creatures of the Night page should be renamed to Classic: Creatures of the Night or some variant thereof. Please?
I've made so many edits and yet I've never noticed a Community page? o-O
Anyhow, hey! I'm Cherrio, I do a lot of edits here, although I tend to sort of browse here and there, porting stuff from books, and adding my own flair and details to things (even if it's just the page on Walls).
I'm more of a "picking fruits off a tree" editor, and, in my opinion, we need some more "picking fruits from a garden for cooking" editor who can help streamline the sites actual structure so people who are curious about GURPS can get into it easily with maximum accessibility.
Y'know what I mean?
If I offended anyone on the GURPS Wiki I apologize. Because I suspect that someone used my login to harm me. On the other hand, now I have changed my password and my account is safe again. And I wanted to clarify that I really like GURPS, and it is my favorite rule system. and I intend to contribute more material about GURPS in the future. Hugs.

My article is not meant to be taken entirely seriously....

Some time ago I read a book with a pretty flawed protagonist. So I started counting his quirks (if he was a GURPS char) and got about 60.
(OK, maybe some of them would be full-fledged disadvantages, but that doesn't improve things.)
So I thought about making quirky characters while avoiding minmaxing and got an idea for a houserule.
OK to post this here?
I thought about starting a short article about the GURPS Fantasy Folk series. One supplement is out, and three others have been announced as being in progress (at least one of them is currently in final draft stage).
My problem is, I wrote GURPS Fantasy Folk: Elves. I don't want this to look like I'm just promoting myself. So do people think it sounds OK if I start an article about the Fantasy Folk series?
Something I have been thinking about writing - a timeline, or even a book - for some time. Sure, the topic isn't new, but I hope I can give it a new twist.
Anybody wants to add some comment?
Note this doesn't specify time zone when midnight is--I'm guessing it's Central Time, but did let SJGames know about the possible confusion. This is taken directly from sjgames.com. But I doubt they'll mind me publicizing their sale.
Steve Jackson Games has a long history and a large catalog of games, especially in the digital realm. We thought this realm was infinite, but it turns out that each individual PDF is taking up valuable bytes on something called the Information Superhighway and thus causing traffic jams. But we have a solution! Today, ONE DAY ONLY, we're clearing out our backlog of PDFs.
Looking for a GURPS module from 2003? Discounted. Maybe a Pyramid issue from 1997? Slashed. We have to move these digital files, people! Check out the games you can get a deal on:

Every PDF deserves a good home! The Recycle Bin on our desktop is already full and we don't know where else we could put them. Our e-loss is your e-gain, so get over to Warehouse 23 and save some of your favorite PDFs from the digital wasteland! The sale ends at midnight tonight.
Most of you know Warrren "Mook" Wilson... the ever present figure on the Unofficial GURPS Discord and SJG Forums and co-author of "How to be a GURPS GM".
Unfortunately, Mook isn't doing well. He passed out in his apartment in early January and was taken to the hospital. They removed 600cc of liquid from below his lungs so that he could breath better... and for a while, he seemed stable, but he was unable to walk or sit up.
Unfortunately, now he is on a ventilator and dialysis machine.
Please pray for him (to whatever god gives you strength) and give what you can to help defer his medical costs.

What is the criterion for All-out defense?
I must activate at the end of my turn for a possible attack on the opponent's turn, right?
But what do I "lose" with this?
Can I activate all-out defense at every end of turn without taking any loss with it? If so, it would not be worth always activating this option ?
(I speak more in the case of double defense, as I know that in the case of increased defense there is a reduction in movement)
GURPS Fantasy Folk: Elves has been released! Even though I've written professionally for more years than I care to admit, I'm more excited about this than anything I've written in quite a while.

It appears that GURPS Wiki does not have a formal method for proposing someone be elevated to Bureaucrat, so I'm doing it here.
I propose that BruceGrubb, who is currently a Sysop/Administrator here, be given the additional position of Bureaucrat.
GURPS Wiki currently only one Bureaucrat, Tycio. While it has four Sysops, only two are active, Tycio and BruceGrubb. (By Fandom standards, an active editor is one who edited an article on the wiki in the last two months--in the case of the other two Sysops, it's been over a year), The position of Bureaucrat is described at the following:
https://community.fandom.com/wiki/Help:Bureaucrats%27_how-to_guide
https://community.fandom.com/wiki/Special:ListGroupRights
https://community.fandom.com/wiki/Help:User_rights#Bureaucrats
Having more than one Bureaucrat can give the site more stability and security. There have been many cases with Fandom wikis where someone would be temporarily inactive on a Wiki, and someone new would come in and adopt the site through Fandom. They could then remove the status of all other Sysops.
In one particular case, someone did that who removed people's Sysop/Administrative status, blocked a number of people from editing (including some who had never even edited there), and then installed their friends as Sysops and Bureaucrats--even though those friends had made very few edits (10 or less).
While Sysop status could be removed by a Fandom user, Bureaucrat status can only be removed by Fandom staff, meaning Fandom can insist on a legitimate reason.
BruceGrubb has made over 57,000 edits, an extraordinary number, and has been helpful to me and others here a number of times in addition to making posts to keep people here informed of things like GURPS playtests (and yes, that includes my own GURPS Fantasy Folk: Elves--please excuse the shameless self-promotion).
I hope the active editors here support Sysop/Administrator BruceGrubb being given the additional authority of being a Bureaucrat of GURPS Wiki.

We are seeking playtesters for GURPS Infinite Worlds: Nightreign, by James Amaral and Joshua Lopez. This medium-length (55- to 60-page) worldbook describes a timeline where mysterious supernatural forces have turned things very grim indeed for Colonial America: The year is 1788, the sun seems to have set for good, and humanity's brave few champions fight overwhelming evil with flintlocks, imperfect magic, and their wits. This could be a destination for Infinite Worlds personnel or a gritty TL5 fantasy world in its own right. We are looking for applicants familiar with GURPS Infinite Worlds or 18th-century American history . . . preferably both! Given the subject matter, knowledge of GURPS Horror, GURPS Magic, GURPS Low-Tech, GURPS High-Tech (at least the TL5 parts), and GURPS Powers would be useful as well. Fresh eyes are always valuable, though – feel free to apply if you believe you have something to contribute. The playtest is currently scheduled to run for about one month, from June 28, 2021 to July 30, 2021. Zero-to-Hero with the Dungeon Fantasy RPG
Even the mightiest delver started somewhere. An apprentice, a squire or man-at-arms, a backup singer with The Backstreet Bards.
Delvers to Grow allows you to take the part of those starting characters, supporting starting play as low as 62 points. Delvers to Grow provides pre-built modules and packages enabling a player to create a capable, playable character in minutes.
Get gaming. Fast. Early playtesting (blind-testing, really) showed that you could get from "blank sheet of paper" to "playing" in less than 20 minutes.
SGJ is seeking playtesters for GURPS Fantasy Folk: Elves, by Alden Loveshade. This short (~21 pages) supplement builds on the four pages on elves in GURPS Fantasy Folk for Third Edition, updating that material to Fourth Edition and greatly expanding on it. It covers all kinds of elves and almost everything to do with elves: cultures, languages, weapons, . . . you name it.
