A small multi-resident apartment house, 42 Fedorov Road stands in a semi-rural suburb outside the the arcologies of an unnamed Fifth Wave city. Two of the apartments have been left vacant, which may provide PCs with a nice place to stay.
Some people, including a local K-10, think the local raccoons are sapient...
The Road Itself[]
A quiet street of a mildly affluent area. Like many Fifth Wave neighborhoods, it's surrounded in a healthy ring of greenery--deer, rabbits, and racoons are common sights. Some people in the neighborhood believe the racoons may be smarter than nature intended... and they may be right, ever since a mysterious viral outbreak. The tapper[1] trees are bioengineered--a 2040s GenTech Pacifica model that converts carbon from the air and deposits it into a stable, liquid form underground.
About half a mile down the road is Five Corners, a village cluster with a bar, restaurants, a 3D print shop, and air car dealership. The nearest urban center is a massive arcology tower complex, about four miles away. The road is fairly clear compared to 21st century suburbs--people walk more often than drive, and public transportation is readily available.

Occupants[]
| Character | Description |
|---|---|
| Niki Spanos | A 36 year old Ishtar upgrade, former drummer of the 2080s Greek Fire band the Boeotian Boys. Her daughter is Calliope Spanos. Current owner of 42 Fedorov Road. She is a keen transhumanist. |
| Calliope Spanos | Daughter of Niki Spanos and a sleepless Nyx upgrade. She has personal issues related to her upgrade being faulty--mainly flashbacks, paranoia, and sleepwalking. She stays up for long periods of time, then sleeps for a week straight. Friends of hers (most of whom online) call her Sleeping Beauty. She's learned to play drums (like her mother) but she's mainly interested in mechanical design and the literary works of Nova Van Heer. Her steampunk toy designs are so good that they're being pirated overseas. |
| Neo-Avarroes | A SAI-8 artificial intelligence, and a companion and lover of Niki Spanos. He is a successfuly lawyer at Ur-Nammu, Averroes and Sun, and rents apartments in several different places in the world. He was a lawyer that fought alongside Niki against Genehackers. Avarroes is technically 15, but operates as an adult AI. |
| Edison Garbey | Edison was upgraded to an Alpha as a kid, and is now a 27 year old student who's double-majoring in political and climate science. He is close to Kumar (below) but is even closer to JD, an AI he's had since childhood. He likes cycling and of course, science. He lives with Kumar. |
| Kumar | A K-10 Postcanine who spends much of his time outside his apartment, wandering the woods and ensuring the safety of the building. Kumar enjoys collecting things--grocery cans, movie posters, toy robot dogs, and plush dolls. He's named after a Bollywood InVid star, and lives with Edison. |
| Martin Fraser | Only 58, but the oldest person living in the apartment house, with undergraduate degrees in military history and lunar geogology. He's underemployed as a defense analyst, historian, and lecturer. He's a huge fan of aquatic cybershells, and anonymously moderates the Cyber-Squid Forum dedicated to it. He enjoys teleoperating cybershells--mainly exploring caves on the moon. He is married to Jukia Barmasi, who lives on the moon. |
