Best of Both Worlds is an overarching "dimension-traveling campaign." It is related to GURPS Infinite Worlds, although it began before that in GURPS Basic Set, Third Edition and earlier books. The campaign actually overlaps and includes parts of many others.

Campaigns it overlaps or overlapped include the Ozona campaign, Terran Union, Manolda I and II, MWG 2580, Wild West (Bad Canyon Springs), MWG 5580, Earth Prime, Sidhe, Keroon, Stone Age (Lion Tribe), Ancient Egypt, North Tredroy campaign, Davenford campaign, Earth Alpha, Zamora campaign, Earth IST Dallas, 21st Century East Tredroy, Policenauts, Citadel's Shadow II, Great Grooves, Isle of Yerom, among others. (All of these except Ozona, which was Dungeons & Dragons, are or were GURPS campaigns).
While the Ozona campaign began in the 1970s, the overarching Best of Both Worlds campaign (GURPS) that included aspects of it was formally begun in the late 1980s - early 1990s, but was not named until the 2010s.
It has involved over a dozen GMs and dozens of players. GMs (Game Masters) who ran games in it include Vernon K. Avaritt III, Michelle B., Emulsior, Paige G., Madalyn Dawn Morse Kraft, Alden Loveshade, Kayla S., Sherri S., Steve S., Miley Spears, Tony T., and Michael Lee Viviano. It was still active in 2024.
Publication and Playtesting[]
The overarching campaign was used for playtesting GURPS Disasters: Hurricane, GURPS Fantasy Folk: Elves, GURPS Grimoire, GURPS Social Engineering, and the Nordlond Bestiary and Enemies Book. And also the works-in-progress GURPS Hot Spots: Istanbul and GURPS Infinite Worlds: Gotterdammerung. Elements of the campaign appear in GURPS Fantasy Folk: Elves, Pyramid #4/4: Fantasy/Magic II, the story collection Exchange Students, on SCIFI.radio, and elsewhere.
