Brawling is (DX/Easy) skill of “unscientific” unarmed combat.[1] It's one of the most common skills, seen with all manner of adventurers, NPCs, and monsters. Almost every type of natural attack is covered by Brawling -- punches, kicks, elbow strikes, knee strikes, headbutts, ear claps, and even poking a foe's eyes and dropkicks.
- Defaults: None[2]

Sean Punch has commented on Brawling in the following posts to the SJG GURPS Forums:
- On its lack of a default [1]
- Compared to Boxing and Karate [2]
- On its advantages over untrained DX rolls [3], [4]
- On the justification for damage bonuses [5]
- On the lack of stacking damage bonuses with Boxing and Karate [6]
- On its not including any grappling [7]

2009 post highlights from him in a 2008 thread
- It's the bit where Brawling is innately ambidextrous that makes it useful for parrying.
- Brawling gives a parry with either hand. A DX 10 man with Brawling 10 gets two parries at 8.
