Down the road between Marion and Harrisburg--halfway between both--there's a turn that'll take you a hundred yards off the main path. Follow the the road until the smell of barbeque greets your nose, and you'll find what you're looking for.
This is the Shady Rest Roadhouse, a place where--if you've got the discretion--you can escape from the fuzz for a while, and wet your whistle.
A Bit O' Background[]
The Roadhouse is a haven for outlaws and gamblers, with dice, cards, mechanical slots, and even billiards--although the table's a common spot for the gangsters, so you may need to wait your turn.
The Roadhouse has some basic ground rules. First, nobody but the Gang goes in the back room. Second, don't go showing off a firearm unless you're a friend of Charlie. Thirdly, no fuzz, and no Klansmen. Those caught breaking these rules risk getting ventilated.
The Structure Itself[]
The Roadhouse was a basic rectangular shape, made out of your standard foot-thick logs, plastered together for a weathertight seal. It had a pair of chimneys on either side, and a porch all along the front.
Trivia[]
- This location is inspired by the real-world location by the same name. It was blown up in January of 1927, killing four, including Charlie Birger.
