The Gods of Bethany are the Holy Children of Daisha, the Queen of Earth who had two consorts, the Lord of Light and the Dark Hunter.
- Keldan Lawgiver: A tall, blond, golden-eyed knight wearing robes of white with a variant of the Armenian cross as a clasp for his cape, on the hilt of his sword, and on both sides of his winged helm. His main weapon is the Sword of Light with which he cuts through the darkness. While benevolent he is also harsh though like his worshipers he will never lie or break an oath or law; never abandon a charge, nor ignore an injustice; and cannot deny an appeal by the helpless. His church outlaws/forbids the worship of his Dark Hunter half brothers while only discouraging worship of his half sister, Clar.
- Dorn Wayfinder: While the style of his clothes vary depending on his role (armsman, judge, or seer) they are always crimson and gold. Generally benevolent, he never prejudges, observes before considering, and considers before acting. His actions are restrained and will reacts to a problem or threat in a just and equal way. His main negative traits are insatiable curiosity, and that the end justifies the means. He is Keldan's older sibling by the Lord of Light as well as his loyal liegeman and advisor.
- Asta the Kindler: A pretty, dark-skinned woman with brown hair and eyes, wearing golden-brown and green robes with at least one of her symbols (the flint, the wheat sheaf and the chalice) incorporated into her outfit. Asta's spheres are mercy, light, the hearth, children, healing and fertility.
- Volt the Avenger: Firstborn of the Dark Hunter, Volt is tanned, dark-haired man with black eyes, wearing a blood-red tunic with black highlights (his colors) and wielding his symbols (axe and thunderbolt) as weapons. His domain is courage, just retribution, strength, challenge, perseverance and revenge. He is harsh, stubborn and unforgiving, never forgets a slight, and never denies a challenge, has a lust for vengeance, and hates weakness of any kind.
He is at odds with his fellow deities seeing Keldan as a coward who protects weak fools, can't stand Dornโs calm reasoning and skill at arms, regards Asta as a "meddling bitch", can't stand Wylanโs obsession with puzzles, and lusts after his sister Cara desiring to "teach her a lesson". - Wylan the Sleeping God: Volt's oldest Dark Hunter brother who is a tall, slender, dark-haired, dark-eyed man, wearing black and midnight-blue robes embroidered with mystical symbols. His domain is magic, the night, sleep, prophecy and dreams. He hates Dorn for the imprisonment he inflicted due to a heated argument with Keldan, has and eternal fascinated with puzzles, and insatiable curiosity.
- Cara Gildenheart: The Dark Hunter's third born, Cara is a petite black-haired woman with mismatched eyes, wearing the brilliant clothing with every color of the rainbow, always decorated with dangling jewelry (one of her symbols) of various sorts. She is often seen dancing (also one of her symbols), or holding the dice that are one of her symbols (the others are coins and the cymbal) She will betray a trust or a secret on whim, considers Life is but a game, Life is the dance, and Resist nothing. She likes teasing Keldan with the fact she opposes law and constraint in all things, and is on friendly terms with Dorn, Asta, and Wylan, Volt on the other hand totally disgusts her - but that doesn't prevent her from baiting him.
