Initiation is a depreciated Classic Unusual Background that appeared in Classic: Voodoo.

It had "levels" which determined what other advantages were available. High levels had access to lower level advantages. Point cost for Available Advantages uses 4e amounts. Total Classic cost for 7th and higher level changes dramatically due to rule changes in ally group costs.
