Cost: [40]
Invisibility is an exotic mental/physical advantage that is "always on". (B63) It doesn't list some of the rules related to this which must be found elsewhere in the book.
Switchable interaction[]
H79
- change Invisibility to Invisibility (Costs Fatigue, 2 FP, -10%; Substantial Only, -10%; Switchable, +10%).
This flies in the face of some comments by admins that you don't need to pay for switchable if you take Costs Fatigue on an Always-On ability.
Special Enhancements[]
- Affects Machines (+50%)
- Can Carry Objects: No encumbrance (+10%); Light (+20%); Medium (+50%); Heavy, (100%)
- Extended (+20% per additional type of vision): invisible to more than one type of vision
- Switchable (+10%)
- Usually On (+5%)
Special Limitations[]
- Fringe (-10%)
- Machines Only (-50%)
- Substantial Only (-10%)
Visible Reflection {-10%) Visible Shadow (-10%)
Alternatives[]
Examples[]
- B124 people suddenly blind have -10 to combat skills (ie -5 to parry, but no listed dodge penalty) or -6 if they're accustomed (-6 to parry). Hit Locations cannot normally be targeted. Ranged attacks are random UNLESS close enough to hear.
- B180 Blind Fighting does allow hit locations, at an extra -2 and Zen Archery works at -6 to hit
http://www.sjgames.com/pyramid/sample.html?id=5782 mentions alternative:
- Affliction (Area Effect, +50%/level; Based on Will, +20%; Disadvantage, Delusion, "You can't see me," +15%; Emanation, -20%; Malediction 1, +100%).
- It's basically an alternative to Invisibility with the Glamour limitation (p. 111), for those who'd prefer a Quick Contest to an unopposed resistance roll.
