A Lens is a package of advantages, disadvantages, and skills that adds to the base template, changing its emphasis.
Example from D&D to GURPS[]
Normally attributes would also be part of the main package but the "class templates" were designed to be as barebones and flexible as possible while retaining D&D's concept of classes.
