Objects of Power are Holy Objects that represent the presence of the deity itself (making them exceedingly rare). Due to their direct connection to the deity they create an area of High or Very High Sanctity about themselves.
The advantage equivalent of this ability to increase sanctity is Sanctity Enhancer. The default area is a 5-hex radius in either case. Objects of Power have a base Power of 25.
Types of Objects of Power[]
- Minor: creates an area of High Sanctity within a given radius, no matter the true Sanctity of the area
- Major: Very High Sanctity within a given radius, affecting the area so strongly that even after the object has moved on, the location will remain an area of High Sanctity for 1 week per day the object was in the location.
To use Christianity as an example the Ark of the Covenant would be a Major Object of Power while the Grail and Spear would more likely be Minor Objects of Power. The Grail and Spear would also likely count as Enchantment through Deeds items.
Important Note: Since some deities favor mana based magic (like Roma Arcana's Isis) their Objects of Power may increase Mana rather than Sanctity levels.
Objects of Power Built as Gadget Advantages[]
To be able to build Objects of Power as a gadget advantage Sanctity Enhancer must be combined with Wild Sanctity Generator.
- Object of Power (Minor) [600]: Sanctity Enhancer 2 [100] + Wild Sanctity Generator [100] (+200%: Area Effect 4 hexes +200%)
- Object of Power (Major) [800]: Sanctity Enhancer 2 [100] + Wild Sanctity Generator [100] (+300%: lingering Sanctity effect +100%; Area Effect 4 hexes +200%)
Note these point totals are just for the Sanctity Enhancer + Wild Sanctity Generator aspect of an Object of Power. The other abilities (Sanctity and Power 25 for each spell) must be calculated separately.
