On Target is a Pyramid article (in 3/77: Combat) which makes the Aim maneuver into an attack roll. It was a work of Doug Cole and he also introduced cool stuff like Committed Aim and All-Out Aim plus also Committed Attack (Long) and doubling the bonus of All-Out Attack (Long).
These are genius ideas and could be extrapolated to derive Committed Concentrate from All-Out Concentrate.
Trickier is Defensive Aim and Defensive Concentrate and Defensive Attack (Long) as a concept since there is no damage to penalize.
Breaking down Aim in this way could also be done for Evaluate to:
- Defensive Evaluate
- Committed Evaluate
- All-Out Evaluate
As house rules of course, as Pyramid always is.
