Peshkali

Peshkali (DFRPG)

An artist's interpretation of a peshkali.

Powerful demonic sentinels, guarding forgotten places. Peshkali are powerfully-built, with six arms and a long, serpentine lower body. Listed as unwilling to negotiate, but that would be a waste of such an interesting monster![1]

Tactics[]

Peshkali Wrasslin'[]

Peshkali need not strike down every creature that enters their domain. Their six arms and snake tail are excellent for pinning targets and escorting them off the premises. Remember to use bear hug with constriction attack to inflict FP damage!

Peshkali Durability[]

With their supernatural level of durability, peshkali (plural and singular), peshkali retain all of their arms and attacks until they're extremely damaged (0 HP), at which point their limbs can be disabled--only then can they be truly killed.

Remaining Armed and Ready[]

As the peshkali can only be slain after reaching 0 HP and having its arms crippled, any clever peshkali will seek out bracers and pauldrons to protect itself! Furthermore, peshkalis can utilize their multiple arms for elaborate maneuvers like the cross parry--and woe be to anyone who fights a peshkali who can bind weapons with jutte!

The Peshkali Shield[]

A mighty shield of black metal, which repels ranged attacks. 22.5 lbs, medium shield with DB 2--but with DB 5 against ranged attacks. With a peshkali, it's held with one hand while another two hands fire a ranged weapon, like a bowโ€”this allows the peshkali to strike with relative impunity![2]
