Polytheism is the worship of or belief in multiple deities usually part of a pantheon.
Elements Classic: Religion does not mention[]
Schisms can form in monotheistic religions based on how "deity" is defined.
Powerful servants of the deity who can lend aid can be viewed as deities in all but name.[1]
There is the issue of monolatry where the existence of other deities is accepted but only one is believed to be worthy of worship.
