Rank (5/lvl or 10/lvl) is a social advantage.[1]
- If Rank coexists with Status it is 5 points,
- but 10 points if it replaces Status. (B29-30)
For Dungeon Fantasy, see Rank (Dungeon Fantasy).
Examples[]
- Administrative Rank
- Merchant Rank
- Military Rank
- Police Rank
- Religious Rank
Special Situations[]
- Temporary Rank - requires meeting requirements (including paying points) to retain.
- Courtesy Rank (1 point/level) - formerly held Rank or a person that currently holds that rank with little real authority
- Rank for Spies - special version of Military, Administrative, or Police Rank depending on culture.
Note[]
It could be argued that Vice-President of the United States could be viewed as a quasi Courtesy Rank as other then breaking ties in the Senate and taking over if the President is incapacitated or dead they have little power and may be totally out of the loop with regards to matters involving the President.
