Steampunk is a Retrofuturism subset of sci-fi that incorporates technology and aesthetic designs inspired by 19th-century industrial steam-powered machinery. For GURPS this is the 1815-1914 period though the genre itself focuses on the Victorian Age. In terms of technology it covers TL5 to early TL6. Its successor is Dieselpunk and predecessor Clockpunk.
