"In UFO lore, the destroyer escort USS Eldridge disappeared into thin air in mid-August or late October 1943.
Allegedly, the ship became invisible, dematerialized, and traveled through space and time from the Philadelphia Navy Yard to Norfolk, Va., and back. Side effects, including crewmen becoming insane and even sinking through the ship’s decks, led the Navy to drop this research. Stealth TL(6+1): Stealth technology involves coating the hull with radarabsorbent paints or sculpting it to minimize radar reflection.
Deceptive Jamming TL(6+1): Deceptive radar jammers detect incoming radar pulses and send out signals that mimic them, but with time delays and distortions that produce misleading readings.
Invisibility Screen TL6^: A distortion field covers the vehicle with an artificial mirage; apply jammer rating as a penalty to Vision.
Psi Screen TL6^: This hides the vehicle from observers’ minds.
Phase Teleporter TL6^: Effectively a mini hyperdrive with limited range.
