The Soviets rather then the Germans set off WWII.
Due to fear of Communism it would be very likely that England and France would quickly (though reluctantly) help Germany fight the Russians. Thanks to the Anti-Comintern Pact Japan starts invading the Russians from the east. The fear of Communism could cause the United States to actively join in the war especially if "evidence" of Soviet "spies" is found.
The most likely result would be a Kalter Krieg between Germany and its erstwhile allies after the war ends.
Notes[]
AlternateHistoryHub suggests something along these lines:
- "What if Stalin Never Came to Power?" scenario with Leon Trotsky running the USSR.
- What if Russia Was Never Invaded in WWII?
